Tell Me More...
Versatile Vaccinium corymbosum Collection brings you a tasty trio for attractive flowering shrubs in spring, rich autumnal foliage interest and plentiful crops of beneficial blueberries too. Foliage emerges in March time, alongside white, bellshaped flowers which often have an attractive bluish tinge. Blooms will draw in bees and other pollinators for a nectar rich feast. Fruit is produced as staggered crops; commencing with 'Duke' and 'Early Blue' from June to July, followed by 'Dwarf Blue Sapphire' in July then culminating with 'Early Blue' in July to August. That's 3 months of antioxidant and vitamin rich berries to add to puddings and smoothies - or just eat fresh from the bush as wonderful snack!Plants in the Versatile Vaccinium corymbosum Collection will happily grow in containers or the ground; making it easy to provide them with the acidic (ericaceous) soil which they need to thrive. All prefer moist, well-drained in full sun or part shade. Hardy, deciduous shrubs. Collection comprises:'Duke' H&S: 2m AGM'Dwarf Blue Sapphire' H&S: 60cm'Early Blue' H: 1.8m S: 1m
