Description

A brilliant cropping blueberry in late summer with a wealth of juicy fruits produced through July and August. Masses of pretty white flowers-tinged pink appear from late spring and early summer before medium-sized plump blueberries form in clusters amongst the green leaves. Not only do these produce high yields of fruits but they are wonderfully sweet and tasty too. Delicious eaten straight from the bush and freeze well to preserve for future months supply. These berries are full of antioxidant and vitamins making them one of the most loved summer fruits in the UK. The foliage provides colourful interest as the glossy green foliage turns to a fiery orange red in autumn before the leaves fall for winter dormancy. Plant alongside an early season cropper such as Earliblue to ensure berries are produced throughout the whole summer, or with other summer fruiting berries such as strawberries or raspberries. Hardy perennial. Provide berries with protective netting from cheeky birds.
