Description
Tulip Yellow Crown is an extremely rare variety and distinctly and regally different. Aptly named, the form of the golden-yellow, crown-shaped blooms are reminiscent of a piece of headway for a monarch. The very special shape stands out, especially when growing in drifts where they will naturalise if left undisturbed. Excellent cut for your home, the stems last well in a vase, where they are certain to be a talking point. Yellow Crown is classified as a member of the Triumph family, the largest group of tulips. The flowers of this group are usually single and cup-shaped, held on strong stems. They are all known for being particularly weather resistant, are able to withstand wind and rain. Tulips are the most-loved spring season blooms both for your garden and as cut flowers to decorate your home as the spring weather warms up after a bleak winter. Tulips are versatile and happy in borders and containers. Plant Tulip bulbs in the autumn, around 15cm deep in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Tulip Yellow Crown grows to an approximate height of 40cm and is a hardy bulbous perennial to enjoy for years to come.
