Description

A double, late flowering Tulip. Gorgeous orange blooms appear in late spring, each one slightly different in colouring. Tulips were originally a hobby for the extremely rich, they became the ultimate symbol of prosperity and wealth. In the 17th century 'Tulipomania' took hold of Holland and a single bulb would sometimes be sold for the price one would pay for a house! Centuries later the tulip is still well loved and there are so many different forms. Although all are perfect for borders and containers and make excellent cut flowers. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
