This schlumbergera is one of the most eye-catching house plants we have ever seen. When in full bloom, the three different coloured plants grown together create a unique mixture of bell-shaped, white and pink flowers that brighten your home all winter long. The flowers appear from fascinating shoots that are segmented like no other. The Brazilian beauty grows naturally in jungle-type woodlands attached to trees. Because of this, it prefers bright to lightly sunny areas and keeping warm in the winter. Schlumbergera love humidity, so we suggest placing them on moist, gravel filled saucers. We would also recommend repotting each year after flowering, using cactus compost to encourage healthy growth. Frequent and thorough watering is required in spring and summer; the soil should always be kept sightly moist, but the plant should never sit in water. Once your floriferous friend has stopped flowering it must begin its dormancy cycle, you must therefore cut back on watering move it to a slightly darker, cooler spot. If looked after well, your Schlumbergera may even surprise you with additional blooming cycles. We're supplying these happy houseplants with a stylish 11cm Teo pot. Height and spread: 45cm (18').
