Just perfect for giving a taste of the exotic to your patio, bringing back happy memories of holidays long gone. Trachycarpus fortunei is also known as the Windmill Palm, this best selling plant is described as one of the hardiest palms and perfect for the UK climate. Looking fabulous in a pot, the stunning fan-shaped leaves bring a touch of the tropical to your garden. In summer, branched flower heads displaying inconspicuous green flowers are seen to add to their charm. Growing about 30cm (12) a year, it remains manageable, growing almost anywhere. Prefers moist, well-drained soil in good sun out of harsh winds. Hardy perennial. Approximate height & spread in 10 years, 4m (13') and 2m (6').

How hardy are your plants?

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.

We offer plants in a range of formats so what you receive varies from plant to plant. The images below show what you will receive for each format.

We love to deliver to all of our customers within the UK including the Highlands and Islands at no extra cost to you - just £4.95 per order. European post and packing is charged at £5.95 per collection.

Your order will be confirmed by email and each item ordered will have an individual delivery date. Your items will arrive before the dates given unless Mother Nature lends a hand by providing unseasonable weather. On these rare occasions we would update you by email.

Items may be sent together, individually or a mix of the two depending on the individual delivery dates and our final quality inspection.
