Description

Trachelospermum jasminoides Star of Toscana will become the star of your garden, with an abundance of highly scented blooms to add an exotic touch. Commonly known as Yellow Star Jasmine, the self-twining stems with glossy, evergreen foliage often turns bronze in winter. The foliage is a charming foil for the abundance of simple, five-petalled, highly fragrant, pale-yellow flowers held in clusters all summer. Trachelospermum jasminoides Star of Toscana is perfect grown in a container, in borders, trained up a wall, obelisk, maybe near a doorway or seat in order you can fully enjoy the clouds of sweet scent. Native to Asia and southern China, the name Trachelospermum stems from Greek and means Neck Seed, because of the shape of the seeds. An oil often used in perfumery is extracted from the flowers. She prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Although being reasonably hardy, Trachelospermum would prefer the warmth of a wall.
