Sutera makes a big impression for such a low growing plant, thanks to a profusion of beautiful flowers. The blooms adorn the length of the long dangling stems all summer and into the autumn. Due to Sutera's versatility, Sutera can be grown trailing from baskets and containers, or as weed-suppressing groundcover, where the abundance of hundreds of flowers makes a bright carpet. A new concept, which takes the guess work out of designing your summer baskets and containers. Three semi-trailing Sutera scopia Venus plants are supplied in one 'trio plug', to ensure you get the best results quickly. These plants have been carefully selected both for their fabulous colour combination and to give your baskets and containers a professional look summer and autumn. One 'trio plant' contains one blue, one pink and one white Sutera which happily fills a 30cm (12') container. Sutera originate from Africa and are also known as Bacopa. In herbal medicine Bacopa is believed to enhance memory; in India they are believed to have divine attributes. Sutera prefer to grow in well-drained soil in sun or part shade reaching a height of 25cm, trailing to a 60cm, with a spread of 30cm; being half-hardy perennials, you will need to offer winter protection.

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
