Description
Fantastically, flamboyant flowers in fiery shades including an award winner. These exhuberant blooms are a sight to behold. Your garden bed or container will burst with vibrance when these showy blooms stretch above clumps of erect blade-shaped leaves. Your 'Crocosmia Collection 1' will create an impact wherever you plant them. These South African natives will light up the edge of a shrub border, dazzle in a bed or provide a brilliant display in a patio container. From July to September, your 'Crocosmia Carmine Brilliant' and 'Crocosmia John Boots' will be awash with blooms, while your 'Crocosmia Lucifer' will dazzle with flowers a little later in August. Offering a wildfire of gorgeous hues, your funnel-shaped blooms will sway on wiry stems in shades of crimson-orange, tiger yellow and an intoxicating blend of pinkish-red and gold. These deciduous perennials will fill your home with fantastic cuttings, while also happily naturalising in your garden. Deer and rabbits will stay away, however, bees and butterflies will be quite keen to explore your eye-catching collection. Hardy and drought-tolerant, your plants will thrive in a fully or partly sunny location in moist, well-drained soil. Your 'Crocosmia Lucifer' is a winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit. In maturity, the varieties in your 'Crocosmia Collection 1' will range in height from 60cm to 1.2m and will spread between 15cm and 30cm.
