Your Stately Salvia collection comprises 'Amante', truly spectacular as tall, inky-black stems drip with silky, vibrant, red-pink blooms, height 1.5m, spread 75cm; 'Amigo', beautiful open-mouthed blooms in flushing shades of pink and purple against dark green stems, height 1.2m, spread 90cm; and 'Animo', very dark almost black stems and calyces contrast against the brightest blue blooms, height 1.2m, spread 75cm. Stately Salvia are easy to grow, preferring moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Half-hardy (H3) perennials, which require winter protection in cooler regions as temperatures dip below -5 C.
