Snowdrops are loved by everyone and grow to a height of of 5, Aconites follow in February reaching 2-3, English Bluebells appear in April, their incredibly vibrant blue flowers carry an enticing fragrance and provide nectar for bees and butterflies. Height 12-14. Don't think of your shady woodland gardens as difficult, brighten up this dull area with low maintenance planting. All are perfect for creating carpets of blooms where the flower colour will make an incredible impact. Perfect planted under shrubs or in borders where they will quickly grow to form dense clumps, alternatively they are happy left to naturalise in a lawn. Supplied in March/April - the perfect time for replanting. Bulbs 'in the green' should be planted soon after arrival, below ground level, with the green foliage exposed above soil level. How hardy are your plants?

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.

Young plants are grown in the ideal plug size to provide the best conditions required during the first stage of each plant’s development. Usually measuring approximately 8-15cm (3-6”) from root base to stem tip, although they are often larger. In ideal conditions they may be planted directly into the ground, however, we recommend they are potted on for 3-4 weeks to develop strong root growth prior to planting out.

Potted plants(5cm, 7cm & 9cm) are in the next stage of development, for those of you who like instant gardening. These can be either planted straight out soon after arrival or grown on a little longer in pots, whichever you prefer.

Bare roots are not always pretty on arrival but they are at least one year old and have been harvested from the field whilst dormant during the winter. We store them in necessary conditions, until you are ready to receive them.

Bulbs and Corms come in various sizes although this is not directly relevant to the eventual size of the plant. You do not have to worry about planting immediately on arrival as they will store well in a cool dry place for a couple of weeks.

We love to deliver to all of our customers within the UK including the Highlands and Islands at no extra cost to you - just £4.95 per order. European post and packing is charged at £5.95 per collection.

Your order will be confirmed by email and each item ordered will have an individual delivery date. Your items will arrive before the dates given unless Mother Nature lends a hand by providing unseasonable weather. On these rare occasions we would update you by email.

Items may be sent together, individually or a mix of the two depending on the individual delivery dates and our final quality inspection.
