Both the Galanthus nivalis and Hyacinthoides non-scripta are well known throughout the rolling English countryside and are famously known by the name's, Snowdrops and Bluebells. The Galanthus nivalis (Snowdrop), is a traditional and timeless flower with dainty, white, pear-shaped flowers with green-tipped inner petals, growing up from silvery-green slender leaves. The native Hyacinthoides non-scripta (Bluebell) are the quintessential sign of a British spring, bending at the top where several single bells of sweetly scented violet-blue flowers dangle gently. Their classic colour will make an incredible impact and gently scent the spring air. The style of both the Galanthus nivalis and Hyacinthoides non-scripta is in keeping with the neutral charm, and traditional style of a natural wooden barrel offered by the Cottage Barrel Effect Planter. As this planter is made from environmentally friendly recycled plastic, it is durable and lightweight for moving around the garden. This planter has the option of drainage holes - there are indents in the bottom for you to drill out as you prefer, which is perfect for both Snowdrops and Bluebells who prefer well drained soil. Each collection comprises of 30 Galanthus nivalis, 30 Hyacinthoides non-scripta, two 35cm Cottage Barrel Effect Planter and the optional extra of a 20-litre bag of Bulrush multi-purpose compost.
