Salix Gracilistyla Mount Aso is the official name, however, perhaps it will be better if we refer to this lovely medium sized bush with the more appropriate name - The Japanese Pink Pussy Willow. This is a special plant and is a sight to behold in the late Winter and Spring. Fluffy pink catkins adorn the plant bringing cheer on the coldest day. Once the catkins have gone. the green foliage emerges, which in the summer has a silver hue on the underside. When the warm summer wind blows your Salix is a green and silver spectacular. If you are looking for a small tree/medium bush, then this Japanese Pink Pussy Willow is certainly one to consider
