Description

Bewitching and award winning, Rudbeckia hirta 'Enchanted Sun' has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society for outstanding performance in the garden. From May to October, numerous clusters of bright yellow daisy-like blooms with prominent brown central cones, are produced. Swaying on strong stems from mid-summer into autumn, you will have armfuls of flowers for arrangements to decorate your home. Happy in both borders and containers, you will be bewitched watching your local friendly pollinators flit between the large blooms enjoying the nectar-rich feast. Commonly known as Coneflowers and Black-Eyed-Susan, Rudbeckia are native to woodlands and prairies of North America. Named after a Swedish naturalist Olof Rudbeck, who was the founder of Sweden's first botanic garden. Rudbeckia hirta 'Enchanted Sun' is a fully hardy biennial, and is best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Reaching an approximate height and spread of 45-50cm, she will not require any winter protection.
