Description

Rose Cubana creates drifts of deliciously fragrant roses which look incredibly beautiful and also suppresses any pesky weeds. Clusters of fully double, highly scented clear yellow blooms on each single stem give a more relaxed and informal flow to your garden. The flowers smother the glossy foliage from spring to first frosts, so much so, a freshly cut supply of roses is available to place in delicate vases without the overall beauty of the plant being affected. Rose Cubana is much loved by bees, amazingly easy to grow and virtually maintenance free. Reaching a height of 60cm, and spreading to approximately 90cm, preferring well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Being perennial, you will be enjoying these in your garden for years to come and they require no winter protection, unless you are in the absolute coldest of areas, in which case just add a mulch around the base of the plant.

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
