Description

Phlox paniculata 'Sweet Summer Ocean' maybe slightly diminutive in stature, but certainly gives an eye-catching display. One of our favourite plants to add cheer at the front of a border, along path edges, and in container displays. Often thought of as the backbone of perennial planting, phlox are unrivalled in the ability to provide reliable colour and strong scent for months on end. Large, rounded flower clusters begin to appear in June, continuing with undiminished verve and vigour until the early days of autumn. Much loved by your pollinating friends, the nectar-rich blooms bring bees and butterflies into your garden for a buffet. Phlox paniculata 'Sweet Summer Ocean make excellent cut flowers for your home. Lasting well in a vase you will enjoy the sweet scent indoors as well. Being slug resistant and tolerant of most soil conditions in sun or part shade she will grow to an approximate height of 60cm and spread to around 45-60cm. A fully hardy perennial that can be left outside over winter where it will sprout again in the spring for you to enjoy for years to come.
