Description

Famous for incredible flower power, Pelargonium Ivy Magenta has one of the longest flowering seasons, flaunting bright, magenta pink blooms, held in umbel-shaped clusters over glossy, bright green foliage. Dazzling when planted alone, Ivy Magenta also works well when planted in a mixed combination with other plants. Trailing and spilling from hanging baskets, tall planters or over a garden wall, the attractive, five-lobed foliage remains neat and tidy. Delicate ivy-leaved geraniums (or pelargoniums) add a touch of femininity and elegance to any space. The beautiful and bountiful blooms create surges of vibrant colour, a wealth of pretty blooms from June to September and deadheading is not required. The royalty of hanging basket plants, Ivy-leaved Pelargonium are so called because they have the characteristic trailing form of ivy. Originating from Pelargonium Peltatum, native to South Africa and introduced to England in the early 1700's. The fast growth of Pelargonium Ivy Magenta often sees it being treated as an annual when it is a half-hardy perennial. Plant in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part shade.
