Description

Osteospermum Cannington Roy is a very popular, wonderful groundcover plant, with an abundance of pink, daisy-like blooms, each with a bright yellow centre. Cannington Roy, similar to all hardy Osteospermum is incredibly versatile. The evergreen, densely packed, mat-forming foliage becomes covered by the profusion of large, white blooms from May to September; and often longer. This creates wonderful colourful groundcover which helps to prevent those pesky weeks from coming through. Thriving on negligence, drought tolerant, easy to grow and low maintenance, Osteospermum Cannington Roy is the perfect plant for the front of your borders and looks fantastic grown in patio containers. As an African native, she prefers well-drained soil in sun and will happily cope with part shade. Growing to a height of approximately 20-30cm, the cushion of foliage spreads to around 45-75cm. You will be enjoying this What a work of art! Forget the usual alpine Iberis. Masterpiece is perfect as a specimen plant in containers and borders. Huge, flat clusters up to 3' across, of pure white flowers with pink centres smother evergreen shrubby foliage from spring through to autumn. Attractive to butterflies, drought tolerant and deer resistant. Prefers well drained soil in sun or part shade. Height & spread 30-45cm (12-18').
