Description

They may be small, but they are mighty! Narcissus Rip Van Winkle are a much-loved, bold little bloomer for your spring garden.Star-shaped, vivid yellow blooms will light up your borders and pots in March and April like mini-fireworks.On stems up to 14cm tall, the unusual and cheery flowers are borne, layer upon layer of golden-yellow petals flushed with green, form fluffy pom-pom like blooms. These heritage narcissi have been loved by gardeners since 1884. Beautiful planted alongside other spring-flowering bulbs such as dwarf-tulips, hyacinths, or muscari.Plant your bulbs at any time in autumn, in a sunny spot on well-drained soil at a depth of 10cm for an explosion of colour and scent in early spring.Charming in pots or rockeries as part of a spring display or planted to naturalise in drifts through grassy areas and borders.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
