Description
A beautiful classic, Narcissus poeticus var. recurvus is a much-adored spring flower and will suit any garden.Known as Pheasant's Eye and the Poet's Narcissi, these demure daffodils feature large white petals and a neat, pleated cup of gold, edged with striking paprika-red.Stems reach 35cm tall and flower for a good period in late spring. This heirloom narcissus originates from France and Greece in the early 1800's and has a wonderful spicy fragrance. Plant your bulbs at any time in autumn, in a sunny spot on well-drained soil at a depth of 15cm for a beautiful display in March and April.Daffodils are deer and rabbit resistant, naturalising well in clumps or drifts through borders and grassy areas, they are a spring delight that we all look forward to. This historic variety also looks gorgeous growing in pots simply on their own or with other spring flowering bulbs.
