Description
Six of the best from an English garden favourite that is a quintessential plant for perfume and a point of interest. Loveable Lavandula make excellent cut flowers, either fresh or dried, and look stunning when planted as an informal hedge. They also commonly appear in baking and savoury dishes as an 'en vogue' ingredient for floral flavour. Flowers are borne over summer into autumn above aromatic, silvery-grey-green foliage. All varieties are scented and come in a range of blues, purples, pink and white. Lavandula is an excellent source of nectar for pollinators. Lavandula is both heat and drought tolerant in accordance with its original Mediterranean climate. All the varieties in this collection are English Lavender and hardy enough to withstand UK frosts. Mix them up, pot them up or plant them in formal rows - whichever you choose they are eternally pleasing to the senses. Collection comprises: angustifolia 'Arctic Snow' (H&S: 50cm), award-winning angustifolia 'Hidcote' (H&S: 75cm), angustifolia 'Munstead' (H: 50cm S: 60cm), x chaytoriae 'Richard Gray' (H: 60cm S: 80cm), angustifolia 'Rosea' (H&S: 70cm). Prefers a site in full sun which benefits from well-drained soil. A fully hardy, evergreen perennial
