Description

Bag a 'lucky dip' selection of colossal, late summer blooms with our Lilium Oriental Mix. One of the most popular ornamental varieties, the Oriental lily is robust and easy to grow, its tall, thick, sturdy stems bearing impressively large flowers in a range of soft colours. These magnificent blooms are often accented by freckles, stripes, or spots, and tend to have gently reflexed petals. Many lilies in this group emit a powerful fragrance. Combine with earlier flowering Asiatic lilies for a successional display. One thing to note is the Oriental lily's preference for a more acidic soil. If you do not have this, despair not! They are more than happy grown in large containers of ericaceous compost. Prefer moist, well-drained neutral to acidic soil, in full sun to partial shade (ideally, their 'feet' in the shade and 'head' in the sun). H&S: 1.2m x 30cm. Hardy, bulbous perennial.
