A trio of the finest martagon lilies. Martagon lilies are the original perennial lily. You expect these lilies to regrow and flower for eight years or more. Martagons were discovered growing wild over two centuries ago, and as such are stronger, produce more flowers and can withstand the UK weather, far better than hybrid lilies. The first in this collection is Lily Claude Shride. Claude Shride was discovered growing in a meadow in Switzerland over 100 years ago. It is perhaps the most popular martagon lily, due largely to its striking mahogany-burgundy flowers. The second lily in this trio is Lily Arabian Knight. Arabian Knight is a more recent martagon and became a gardener's favourite because of its speed of growth. The flowers have golds, reds and purple colours running through them and when you see them move in the light summer wind? The final lily you receive is Lily Fairy Morning. Fairy Morning is quite sumptuous and a favourite at Hayloft. There is a softness and gentleness about this lily. The colours are amber and baby pink. The flower look like they are floating in the air. Fairy Morning is a very special lily. All three require little maintenance, happily grow in the border, produce hundreds of flowers every year and will give you pleasure year after year.
