Koeleria glauca is a tuft-forming, semi-evergreen grass with a wonderful blue-green tint which is particularly evident early in the season. Commonly known as Blue Hair Grass, it bears dense heads of silvery-green flowers, fading into a golden yellow as they age - simply fantastic when worked into a dried flower arrangement. Non-invasive and perfect for growing alongside a garden path or in your sunny borders where it will contrast nicely against bright, colourful flowers. As a fully hardy perennial, Koeleria glauca can tolerate the exposed conditions of rock garden, looking terrific in gravel beds. So versatile and so easy to grow, Koeleria prefer well-drained soil and a sunny spot, and they can thrive in partial shade too. We recommend planting in the autumn and cutting back to ground level each February before the new foliage emerges. Water your attractive grass regularly after planting and all the way through the first season until it is well established. Koeleria glauca have a mature height and spread of 50cm.
