Description

Beautiful for over six months each year, Hydrangea give you beautiful blooms for arrangements within your home. The blooms of Hydrangea macrophylla Magical 'Ruby Tuesday' open lime green, then start to develop a stunning red-pink edge, which increases across each petal, becoming darker red as the bloom matures. Forming a tidy, rounded habit, she will happily grow in either borders or large containers and will not bothered by heavy rain. Hydrangea paniculate Polestar is one of the earliest hydrangea to start flowering in spring, the blooms open lime-white then mature through cream to blush-pink in summer, covering the compact lush green foliage. By early autumn Polestar, have become a rich rosy red, even when grown in shade. Hydrangea serrata 'Bluebird' produces a profusion of large, flattened, lace-cap flower-heads with blue fertile flowers and pale blue florets in summer. Hydrangea prefer to be grown in well-drained soil in part shade. With an RHS hardiness rating of H5, they should not require any winter protection in most of the UK in our average winter.
