Description

The Hanging Bells Collection are fritillaria which all naturalise well and are tolerant of slightly damper soils. Perfect for moist soils and wet meadow areas of a garden. Fritillaria with their characteristic hanging bell-shaped flowers bring a touch of the glamorous to your garden. Planted in the autumn, Fritillaria are offer an alternative to, and a good companion for, tulips and daffodils. They do look exotic yet are easy to cultivate. This collection offers a bumper five different fritillaria which we think you will enjoy growing. Your collection is: Fritillaria uva vulpis - produces delicate flowers along the flower stem; Fritillaria acmopetala - Chosen because it looks attractive in rockeries and unusually for fritillaria, will also cope in dry sunny borders; Fritillaria elwesii - a strong naturaliser and perhaps the most robust and vigorous of fritillaria; Fritillaria meleagris - British native, loves shade and grows well in shaded areas which remain damp in the summer; Fritillaria meleagris 'Alba' - displays the most beautiful and exotic looking pure white bells in the Spring. An enchanting collection for your garden. Your Fritillaria collection will include 30 Uva Vulpis, 10 Acmopetala, 5 Elwesii, 30 Meleagris and 30 Meleagris Alba when buying 105 bulbs. Your Fritillaria collection will include 60 Uva Vulpis, 20 Acmopetala, 10 Elwesii, 60 Meleagris and 60 Meleagris Alba when buying 210 bulbs.
