Colourful, shade-loving carpetsIn the words of the renowned gardener Margery Fish "when in doubt, plant a geranium". This is because geraniums are reliable, floriferous and will spread their colourful carpets from spring through to autumn each year whilst requiring little fuss or attention.Their decorative leaves appear around March to herald the warmer weather and the awakening garden. Open 5-petalled blooms follow and have intriguingly marked veins that accent the richness of the flowers, accompanied by contrasting stigma and stamen. Loved by bees and other pollinators, the undulating pillows of groundcover they create will contrast and collaborate with one another under shrubs, at the edge of paths or in containers. Prefer moist well drained soil in full sun or part shade. Fully hardy perennials in a mix of blues, purples, pinks and whites. H&S: 60cm.
