Description


A truly amazing combination for your spring and early summer borders and containers, Freesia and Ranunculus will treat your senses with incredible colours and delicious scent. Firm favourites with florists. prized for their attention-grabbing blooms, stunning scent, long flowering time in spring and early summer, and incredible vase life. Ranunuculus are also known as the Rose of the Spring, producing bright, fully double ruffled blooms. Freesia are South African beauties with exotic looking blooms with a stunning heavy perfume. When grown together the display is stunning. Freesia and Ranunculus are perfect planted in early spring to provide late spring and early summer colour to your borders and containers. Preferring well-drained soil in sun or part shade, these tender bulbous perennials grow to a height of around 30cm and a spread of approximately 15cm and can easily be lifted and stored frost free over winter to plant again the following spring.

How hardy are your plants?

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.

We offer plants in a range of formats so what you receive varies from plant to plant. The images below show what you will receive for each format.

We deliver to all of our customers within the UK including the Highlands and Islands for just £4.95 per order.

Your order will be confirmed by email and each item ordered will have an individual delivery date. Your items will arrive before the dates given unless Mother Nature lends a hand by providing unseasonable weather. On these rare occasions we would update you by email.

Items may be sent together, individually or a mix of the two depending on the individual delivery dates and our final quality inspection.
