Plants are robust enough for coastal sites and great for prairie or wildlife planting where they will add colour and structure through summer into autumn. If stems are left on plants through winter, they will even create interest with their teasel-like seed heads - which look fabulous in the frost. Collection is made up of three varieties of Coneflower, these are: purpurea 'Fiery Meadow Mama' with flaming colours and reflexed petals, H&S: 60cm; purpurea 'Laughing Meadow Mama' with its sunny and vivacious orange hues, H&S: 60cm; and purpurea 'Leuchtstern' H&S: 80-85cm in rich magenta purple with a glowing central cone. Plants in the Eye-catching Echinacea Collection prefer well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade and are beneficially drought tolerant once established. Hardy, herbaceous perennials which do not require winter protection throughout most of the UK.
