Eupatorium are known for their Now smaller gardens can also enjoy this butterfly magnet! Distinctive, domed flowerheads are formed by clusters of nectar-rich blooms to create a stunning late display from mid-summer, well into the autumn. Just as long flowering and floriferous as their larger cousins but these well-behaved beauties have sturdy shorter stems that will not flop. The flowers are wonderful when cut for the home and the attractive winter seed heads look great whether left on the plant or brought inside and dried for arrangements. A member of the Aster family, Eupatorium have ancient medical uses, including treatment for gout and dengue fever, hence the name boneset, referring to the pain it relieved. Also known as Joe Pye Weed, legend tells that a Native North America named Joe Pye used wild Eupatorium to cure fevers. Happy grown in either borders or containers, Eupatorium are deer and rabbit resistant, preferring to be grown in damp soil in sun or part shade. Fully hardy perennials that can be enjoyed outside for years with no winter protection required.

How hardy are your plants?

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.

We offer plants in a range of formats so what you receive varies from plant to plant. The images below show what you will receive for each format.

We deliver to all of our customers within the UK including the Highlands and Islands for just £4.95 per order.

Your order will be confirmed by email and each item ordered will have an individual delivery date. Your items will arrive before the dates given unless Mother Nature lends a hand by providing unseasonable weather. On these rare occasions we would update you by email.

Items may be sent together, individually or a mix of the two depending on the individual delivery dates and our final quality inspection.
