Description
Flowering happily for six months each year Erigeron karvinskianus is happy in some of the most difficult areas of your garden. You will enjoy a very long flowering, ever-changing carpet of colour. Each new daisy-like bloom opens crisp white with a yellow centre, the petals taking on pink-purple hues as they mature, giving a two-tone effect. With such a long flowering period, from May to October, Erigeron karvinskianus is surely a must-have plant for every garden. Holding the Award for Garden Merit, issued by the Royal Horticultural Society, Erigeron karvinskianus is happy in the poorest of soils. Whether grown as an edging plant in a border, maybe tumbling over a wall or cascading over the edge of a container, it is not invasive and is loved by bees. It will even grow in cracks, crevices and pavements providing great weed-suppressing groundcover. Erigeron karvinskieanus grows to a height of approximately 25cm and spread of 30cm, preferring well-drained soil in sun or part-shade. Being a hardy perennial, it will grow outside without requiring winter protection for you to enjoy for years to come.

How hardy are your plants?
All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.
FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)
WT – Warm temperate – can withstand temperatures between 5-10 °C (41-50 °F)
ST – Sub Tropical – are happy in temperatures between 10-15 °C (50 – 59 °F)
TR – Tropical – can withstand temperatures above 15 °C (59 °F)
Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
