Flowers are accompanied by serrated, palmate foliage which is dark and glossy with prominent veins and markings - adding even more impact and offering extended interest once flowers have faded. Furthermore, blooms defy the coldness of winter and flower even when there is snow on the ground. Ideal in shadier, woodland areas of your garden and great for a vase or arrangement inside your home. Dramatic Helleborus Collection contains the following: x hybridus 'Double Ellen Purple'; x hybridus 'Double Ellen White'; x hybridus 'Double Ellen Pink'; and x hybridus 'Double Ellen Yellow Spotted' - all of which grow to a height and spread of around 35cm. Plants prefer a spot in moist, well-drained soil which benefits from partial to full shade. Fully hardy perennials which do not need winter protection throughout most of the UK.
