Description
Diascia Breezee have been bred to produce many more larger flowers for longer than the more traditional Diascia varieties and is a must for your borders, baskets and containers all summer long. Relatives of the foxglove and the snapdragon, hundreds of small, trumpet-shaped blooms almost seem to bubble as they appear along the stems, developing into frothing streams of flowers for many months from May to October over well-behaved, semi-evergreen mounds of foliage. Also known as Twinspur, because of the spurs that are on the back of the flowers, which actually contain a special oil which is collected by bees in the wild in its country of origin, South Africa, Slug resistant, Diascia Breezee prefer to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or partial shade, reaching a mature height of approximately 20cm, and spreading to 30cm. Hardy and perennial in much of the UK, new shoots may be cut back by hard frosts in winter, the crown survives to around -8oC.

How hardy are your plants?
All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.
FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)
WT – Warm temperate – can withstand temperatures between 5-10 °C (41-50 °F)
ST – Sub Tropical – are happy in temperatures between 10-15 °C (50 – 59 °F)
TR – Tropical – can withstand temperatures above 15 °C (59 °F)
Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
