Diascia Breezee Plus Apricot, a brand-new plant, specially bred for better weather resistance, many more flowers of a larger size than the more traditional Diascia varieties and is a must for your borders, baskets and containers all summer long. Relatives of the foxglove and the snapdragon, hundreds of small, trumpet-shaped blooms almost seem to bubble as they appear along the stems, developing into frothing streams of flowers for many months from May to October over well-behaved, semi-evergreen mounds of foliage. Also known as Twinspur, because of the spurs that are on the back of the flowers, which actually contain a special oil which is collected by bees in the wild in its country of origin, South Africa, Slug resistant, Diascia Breezee prefer to be grown in well-drained soil in sun or partial shade, reaching a mature height of approximately 20cm, and spreading to 30cm. Hardy and perennial in much of the UK, new shoots may be cut back by hard frosts in winter, the crown survives to around -8oC.
