Description

Dahlia 'Noordwijks Glorie' Enormous blooms offer a frilly copper concoction Whether you fancy a pompom, anemone, double orchid, waterlily, ball or dinnerplate, there will always be a delectable dahlia to delight you! These blooms come in almost all the colours of the rainbow, so it is no surprise they are a favourite in British gardens. Dahlia 'Noordwijks Glorie' is a stunning example of why we adore these delightful plants. Resplendent in a blend of peach-orange and deep copper, your dahlia's gigantic, cactus style flowers will reach up to 20cm in diameter. These fully double, frilly blooms will stretch up to greet you on elegant stems above lush dark green foliage. Flowering from early summer to the first frosts, this deciduous perennial will make a spectacular addition to your border or container. Blooms are long-lasting and will also fill your home with vivid colour as cut flowers. Remember to deadhead spent flowers as this will encourage your dahlias to bloom even more! Bees and butterflies will be fascinated by these alluring blooms in your garden. While the weather is still frosty, pot up your tuber root and keep it in a warm place. Once the weather has improved, a south, east or west facing location which benefits from moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil will suit your half hardy perennial. In cooler climates, lift your tuber after the foliage has been blackened by the first frost and store it in a cool, dry place until spring. In maturity, your Dahlia 'Noordwijks Glorie' will reach a maximum height and spread of 90cm by 60cm.
