Cypripedia, or Lady's Slipper orchids, are the most spectacular and the most desirable available on the English market. Happy in both borders and containers, beautiful blooms with large lower lip are produced during June and July. When planted in borders and grass areas, these extraordinary low maintenance plants will naturalise in informal drifts. Our plants are raised in a laboratory, to ensure they are strong, as it is reputed that even Charles Darwin was unsuccessful in cultivating them. Prefer moist soil in shade. Can be divided once established. Hardy perennials. Please note that due to the size of the parcel we are unable to deliver this product outside of the UK.

H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
