Unusual, unique, rare, and evergreen, Crinodendron will stop you (and your neighbours) in your tracks. Decorated from late spring to late summer with masses of delicate, lantern-like flowers, hence the common name the Chilean Lantern Tree. Easy to grow and difficult to forget. Crinodenron are perfect when grown up against your house or an outside wall, where it can perform as a small tree or multi-stemmed evergreen shrub. Named from the ancient Greek words for Lily and Tree, Crinodendron is a native from Chile, where it grows near shady streams. Crinodendron will flourish in either borders or containers, preferring to be grown in moist but well-drained soil in part shade. Growing to a height and spread of approximately 250cm - 400cm Crinodendron can be pruned to your required size and needs no winter protection.
