A recent introduction, Cortaderia selloana Tiny Pampa, will provide year round interest for small gardens and containers and is the shortest Pampas grass yet. Everyone can now grow this gorgeous, iconic grass. Pampas grasses are well-known and much loved for their tall, towering plumes which make such a statement. Cortaderia selloana Tiny Pampa may be much smaller than its older cousins, but there is certainly no shortage of energy and flower power. Many strong stems hold large, feathery manes of seedheads, reminiscent of feather dusters, during summer and autumn. Stems are suspended over slender, evergreen, grass-like foliage. Much loved by florists, the 'plumage' is excellent when cut for arrangements.Cortaderia selloana Tiny Pampa prefers to be grown in well-drained soil with full sun though it will still flourish in partial shade. A fully hardy perennial which can be grown outside and enjoyed for years to come, Tiny Pampa reaches a mature height including flower length and spread of 60cm.
