Description
Campanula punctata Milky Way is a real treat for those wanting something a little different that is sure to attract admiring attention both in the garden or indoors as part of a floral arrangement. From cushions of leafy, evergreen, groundcover foliage, waxy buds appear on wiry, upright, dark red stems in late spring. Each bud opens to reveal huge, pale, pink spotted bells with double skirts that hang in clusters throughout the summer. Why not take a peek inside the 'inner' skirt and you will be intrigued by the delicate spotting. Campanula Milky Way flowers from May to October, much to the delight of the local bees, giving you armfuls of blooms for your home. An exquisite, rabbit resistant, fully hardy perennial for you to enjoy for years to come without the need for frost protection. Campanula Milky Way prefers to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade and grows to a height and spread of approximately 45cm, in borders or containers.
