Description

Camellia Lady Campbell is a red flowered compact camellia. When you see a name like this you tend to think, who was Lady Campbell? Lady Campbell was born into privilege and married a lord with a large estate. However, she spent her life helping charities and doing all she could to help those less fortunate than herself. She died in her 90's.This makes an apt name for this camellia because like its namesake, this is a giving, generously flowering plant which lives for a very long time. Lady Campbell is a straightforward, no nonsense camellia, which loves displaying its flaming rose-red blooms in late winter and early spring. On a cold day you could almost warm yourself on the glow of its colour. Like all camellias, dappled shade and in a sheltered spot is best and you will be rewarded with a flamboyant display of red on the greyest of days. A classy lady indeed.
