Also known as Annual Asters, Callistephus chinensis King Size Apricot is an incredible plant. Tall stems hold unusual fully double blooms in shades of yellow and warm apricot, with slightly recurved petals high above the foliage, and make the most sensational, long-lasting cut flowers. One of the most rewarding summer annual plants. You will be amazed as huge, showy (but not over the top) blooms up to 8cm across are held on strong stems all summer and into the autumn, giving you armfuls of stems for your home for months on end; the more you cut, the more they flower. Much loved by bees and butterflies, which will come flocking into your garden. Callistephus prefer to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade, reaching a height of approximately 1m and spread 30-45m. Callistephus are annuals so will only last one season, however seed is very easy to collect, ready to be sown the following season and raise many more new plants the following year.
