Flowering long and hard from late spring right through until autumn, Calibrachoa 'Can Can Double Wine Red' produces masses of rich, velvety, deep magenta flowers with a subtle hint of dark orange. Flowers are small and bell-shaped, resembling a miniature version of botanical relative the petunia. Ideal for hanging baskets, containers, and window boxes, this calibrachoa has a loose yet neat appearance and a gentle trailing habit. Plants in this genus are 'self-cleaning', meaning they shed spent flowers; no need for deadheading! Prefer well-draining soil in full sun. H&S: 30cm x 30cm. Half-hardy perennials, usually treated as annuals in the UK. Alternatively, container grown plants may be overwintered in a frost-free environment for continued perennial grown (a cool greenhouse or conservatory is ideal).
