Description

Endorsed by the RHS and designed around the recognised rootgrow mycorrhizal fungi family of plant related feeding additives. Bulb Starter also includes vermiculite to ensure good drainage in the root zone and seaweed meal as a source of natural auxin's to stimulate root development. The product also contains humates as a source of organic acids for both the treated bulb and soil microorganisms. Application: Use 5-10g for small bulbs or corms, 10-20g for large bulbs or tubers. (One palm full is approximately 10g) Place Bulb Starter into the base of the planting hole, backfill and water. Planting Advice: Follow the planting guidelines supplied with your bulbs, corms or tubers. Generally bulbs are planted two or three times their own depth into the soil with the bulb head facing upwards, ensuring there are no air gaps near the bulb.

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
