Description

Buddleja davidii White Profusion produces masses of honey-scented flower panicles, clustered with tiny white blooms in late summer and early autumn. Each perfect little flower holds a nectar-rich yellow eye which will bring butterflies, and a host of other pollinators hurrying to your garden. Buddleja are often referred to as the 'Butterfly Bush' and this unusual white cultivar has received an Award of Garden Merit from the RHS for its wildlife-friendly attributes as well as vigour and timeless beauty. An excellent addition to a cottage, modern, or nature friendly planting scheme, Buddleja davidii White Profusion should be planted in dappled shade where it has plenty of space to thrive - this hardy shrub will reach a height of 3m, and a spread of up to 5m within a few years. Prune stems back hard in early spring as the flowers are produced on new growth. Buddleja are fully hardy and drought tolerant once settled. Rarely bothered by pests and diseases, these large shrubs make a charming and valuable addition to the garden.
