Tell Me More...
Bijou Buddleja davidii Collection is ideal for those of us with smaller spaces who still want to attract butterflies, along with other pollinators, into their gardens, or onto their patios and balconies. The 3 dwarf bushes (including the exciting new 'Little Pink') burst open with plump, conical, richly perfumed flowers from June to October for compact mounds of enticing colour. Foliage has a greenish silver in hue - lending its charm from March through to November. Collection comprises: 'Butterfly Candy Little Pink'; 'Butterfly Candy Little Ruby'; and 'Butterfly Candy Little Purple'. A well-known family of shrubby plants, Buddleja are native to China and Japan and named after an English botanist, Rev. Adam Buddle. They can be seen in many gardens across the UK, and the taller varieties can, if left unchecked, become overly dominant. These dainty and delightful varieties offer the perfect alternative.Plants in the Bijou Buddleja davidii Collection prefer well-drained soil in full sun, although they will tolerate some shade. All are hardy, deciduous shrubs which do not require additional winter protection and reach a height and spread of up to 80cm.
