Begonia Illumination Apricot creates an impressive waterfall of bright summer colour for your baskets and containers to brighten up any shady spots into the autumn. Begonia Illumination are much loved tuberous perennials, adored for their plentiful, bright orange blousy blooms and very long flowering season from May to first frosts. Begonia Illumination have improved colour, more pendulous blooms, and even better weather resistance, even during a wet summer, as masses of large, beautifully blousy blooms gently cascade down to around 40cm almost covering the bushy, green foliage. Interestingly, both female and male flowers are produced on the same plant, and as with many species in nature, the male are the more flamboyant. Begonia illumination Apricot prefer to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade, reaching a height and spread of approximately 30-40cm. Being tuberous perennials, they can rot if they get too wet over winter, so can easily be lifted and kept dry and frost free over winter to be re-planted the following spring.
