Anemone coronaria Mount Everest is perfect to grow as a contrasting flower to Anemone Coronaria Lord Lieutenant. This dazzling white semi-double anemone provides blooms of at least 3 rows of petals which surround a yellow-green centre supported by masses of fern-like foliage. Also known as windflowers anemones are from the Greek word which means, 'daughter of the wind' and they catch the wind admirably. The corms are planted in June/July to ensure a stunning display of white blooms in April-July. Grow this anemone in the front or centre of a border to create an eye-catching centrepiece or plant as a clump in a container. The flowers will grow back once picked and make impressive cut flowers in a vase or bouquet. Plant Mount Everest in sun or part-shade and in sheltered but well-drained soil. Anemones naturalise well and will grow back in swathes the following year with very little maintenance.
