Description


A hardy relative of the everlasting flower Anaphalis triplinervis Summer Snow is sure to be a winner in your summer garden. Clusters of pearly-white, button-like flowers with paper-like petals are produced throughout the summer above stunning, neat mats of silvery-green foliage. The blooms are so intriguing that you will find you just have to touch them to check they are real. Also known in German as Sommerschnee, Anaphalis will flourishing in either borders or containers, attracting bees and butterflies into your garden to sample the feast. The clusters of blooms are a wonderful filler in flower arrangements, lasing well in a vase, and are also excellent when dried. Anaphalis triplinervis Summer Snow has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society for outstanding performance in the garden. Anaphalis Summer Snow is happy grown in most good garden soil, but prefers it well-drained, in sun or partial shade, reaching a height of 25cm the spreading cushions of foliage spread to around 50cm. Originating from the Himalayas, Anaphalis Summer Snow is incredibly hardy, and should not require any winter protection anywhere in the UK.

How hardy are your plants?

All plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

FH - Fully hardy - will withstand temperatures down to -15 C (5F) and often lower.
H - Hardy - are happy down to at least -5C (23F).
HH - Half hardy - can withstand down to around 0C (32F).
T - Tender - may be damaged by temperatures below 5C (41F)
WT Warm temperate can withstand temperatures between 5-10 C (41-50 F)
ST Sub Tropical are happy in temperatures between 10-15 C (50 59 F)
TR Tropical can withstand temperatures above 15 C (59 F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.

We deliver to all of our customers within the UK including the Highlands and Islands for just £4.95 per order.

Your order will be confirmed by email and each item ordered will have an individual delivery date. Your items will arrive before the dates given unless Mother Nature lends a hand by providing unseasonable weather. On these rare occasions we would update you by email.

Items may be sent together, individually or a mix of the two depending on the individual delivery dates and our final quality inspection.
