Description

A florist's dream, Ammi visnaga Green Mist is a superbly versatile annual. Much loved, and often used in wedding bouquets and in RHS show gardens. Known as 'Bishop's Weed', or 'Queen Anne's Lace', Ammi visnaga Green Mist is fit for any Royal Garden. Glorious mounds of feathery foliage excel themselves when topped with delicate, textured nectar rich blooms. Large, flattened green flowerheads open to reveal crisp, green tinged white blooms which seem to airily hover on strong stems from June to September. The flowerheads slowly become dome shaped. A delightful feast for local pollinating insects. Make sure you cut some of these dainty-looking blooms to enjoy in your home, as the cut stems last up to 10 days in a vase, perfect dried or dyed too. Easy to grow, Visnaga Green Mist prefers to be grown in well-drained soil in sun reaching a height of 90cm and spread of 45cm. A hardy annual which will produce seed loved by goldfinches, or can be collected and sown to make many new plants for the following year.
