Description

Relive warm memories of childhood stories, the Anemone Fairy tale Collection are woodland beauties which wave proudly and reliably. An abundance of blooms are produced from mid-summer, well into the autumn. Perfect for late colour in your garden and in your home, as the stems are excellent cut for indoor arrangements. Anemone hupehensis Pocahontas, named after the beautiful daughter of Chief Powhatan, boasts double, bubble-gum-pink blooms, held on branching stems 30-45cm tall above foliage which spreads 45-60cm. Anemone hupehensis Red Riding Hood, named after the character within the famous French tale first written down by Charles Perrault and later by the Brothers Grimm. Large, dark, vivid, blooms with petals in shades of rose-pink reach a height of around 45cm, the plant spreads to the same measurement. Anemone Wild Swan shares its name with the famous Hans Christian Anderson tale The Wild Swans. Reaching a height and spread of 45-60cm, an abundance of blooms will greet you. Each made of crisp white petals with distinct blue reverse. All are loved by bees and butterflies whilst being slug, rabbit, and deer resistant. Anmones are versatile and thrive in almost any soil, including near the coast. Living for years without any winter protection, the Anemone Fairy tale Collection is happiest grown in moist, well-drained soil in partially shady borders and containers.
